????The 10,000th new vehicle manufactured by the Laixi base of BAIC BJEC Qingdao company has recently been off the assembly line, starting from the 1st vehicle manufactured on 20th August 2015 to the 10,000th car, the base just spent 1 year and 2 months time.
????The base was established on the 9th of July 2015, it is owned by BAIC BJEV, and is the 1st branch company outside of Beijing of new energy vehicle business of BAIC, which is the fortune 500 company. The project used CNY 1 billion investment in the 1st phase, with 50,000 designed annual production capacity. It is the 1st comprehensive base in Qingdao produces whole vehicle and sales new energy vehicle, and the largest domestic electrical vehicle-manufacturing base. The phase II project will have the investment of CNY 4 billion. It covers an area of 1,236 acres, the building area covers about 156,000 square meters, and the target annual production capacity reaches to 150,000, and is ready to expand to 250,000 in the future. The base is planned to expand the total production capacity to 300,000 in 2020.
