????Qingdao will release the industry innovation capacity and reduce cost in all segments to realize a more intelligent, service-oriented, and eco-friendly pharmaceutical industry, which will go to marine-oriented high-end industry, according to the Action Plan for Accelerating Healthy Development of Qingdao Municipality released recently. By 2020, the Qingdao pharmaceutical industry is expected to reach to CNY 70 billion, the average annual growth rate will be about 25%, and Qingdao thus can be a domestic key pharmaceutical R&D, incubator and production base.
????To achieve this goal, Qingdao will make great efforts to enhance the innovation ability to be an important marine biomedicine science and technology innovation center in China; Qingdao will accelerate quality standard upgrade to make its industry quality standard level reach to domestic advanced level; the city will implement green reform and upgrade, the industry energy use, materials use and pollutant discharge will reach the domestic advanced level; the city also will cultivate a group of excellent enterprises to promote the collective development of the industry. At the same time the city will endeavor to develop modern logistics, strengthen credibility system construction, improve medical service system, and enhance cooperation ability with foreign partners.
